BSides is a community-driven framework for building events for and by the information security community members.
The goal of BSides is to expand security discord beyond the traditional confines of the corporate environment. A situation that enables cyber security professionals to participate in a world renowned, and respected security event.
It is a dynamic and fast moving event, with discussions, demos, and interaction with participants. In fact it has been described as the place where cutting edge security conversations take place.
History of BSides
Security BSides started out with an idea to create a community-organised Information / Cyber Security events. The purpose of these events was to enable the dissemination of digital security information. Started in 2009 by a team in the US, Security BSides events are now held all around the world.
Which is why BSides events attract a lot of attention from information security professionals, academia, executive officers, students and security enthusiasts.
With expected attendee of over 200 delegate, Dundee’s first BSides, is guaranteed to be a Calendar event.

The goal of Security BSides has always been based on enabling participants to engage with each other. The object of Security BSides is to help develop connections, friendships, and network within the cyber security industry.
